Interview with Oscar De La Hoya
Oscar De La Hoya was born February 4, 1973—nicknamed "The Golden Boy" — is a Mexican American Boxer and promoter who won a gold medal for the United States Boxing Team at the Barcelona Olympic Games.
Q: When did you begin to box?
A: At 4 years old.
Q: Who was your boxing idol?
A: Julio Cesar Chavez
Q: What was your most memorable boxing moment?
A: Winning the Olympic gold medal. ( Where his nickname Golden Boy comes from)
Q: If you hadn't become a boxer what would you become?
A: An architect.
Q: Of any boxer ever to fight who would you want to fight the most?
A: Felix Trinidad
Q: Are there any other books in your future?
A: I believe there will be.
Q: Will you fight Ricky Hatton?
A: The question is....will he fight me. [giggles]
